The church lacked adequate and accessible facilities required for the regular use of the building. The improvement and lengthening of the existing flat roofed extension meets the growing needs of the church with as little impact as possible to the historic fabric of the building. The new kitchen facilities work in conjunction with the re-modelling of the west end of the nave to offer a more flexible community space.

The existing vestry was incorporated into a new extension to create a new vestry, separate choir vestry, meeting room, accessible toilet, kitchen and store room.

A serving hatch from the kitchen opens into the west end of the nave, that was remodelled to create a more flexible space. This was achieved by removing a small section of pews and relocating the font. The wooden pew platforms were taken out and replaced with a new tiled floor to match the existing tiles in other areas of the building.

New LED lighting was installed through the church, and redecoration was carried out.
