The nave before and after completion of the project

The church needed basic facilities to fulfil its potential as a flexible community hub at the heart of the village. The redevelopment and new LED lighting has created a welcoming, well-equipped space for a number of activities.

The pews were removed and the wooden pew platforms replaced with new stone flooring. New limecrete and stone flooring was also laid in the bell ringing chamber.

A gallery was created at the west end of the nave with a kitchen and DDA compliant toilet below, along with a small meeting room.

The upper gallery is a generous sized, multi-use space with a glass oak balustrade. The top of the tower arch has been infilled with clear glass, allowing visitors a clear view of the bell ringing in action in the newly refurbished bell ringing chamber.
